 40s peplum cocktail vintage dress with faux lace, Bust 36"

This gorgeous 1940s dress has no makers tag, but is clearly professionally made. The dress is black, in a light-weight rayon fabric similar to crepe.

The dress has an 8" metal zipper at the left waist, and there is a 4" deep slit at the back of neck which closes with a hook/eye.

The dress is unlined, but the front bodice has a nude lining fabric over which is a see-through fabric with a flocked floral pattern which very much resembles lace.

There is a deep waistband which comes to a point at centre front, like an inverted V shape. Gathered onto the waist seam is a 6" deep ruffled peplum in the nude and flocked fabric.

The dress is in Excellent condition, with no faults or flaws.
