60s Towncliffe Frances Brewster vintage jacket, Bust 36"

This is a lovely jacket bearing a number of labels : "Frances Brewster", "It's a Towncliffe hand tailored" and also an ILGWU label.  The is in a lovely cream fabric which has the texture and feel of a silk & linen blend.  The  jacket is lined.

The Jacket fastens at centre front with 4 large rosette buttons in a silky braid.  The high-light has to be the curved collar, which is deeply notched and shaped at the front.  The front hemline also has two notches for ease over the hips.

No doubt this boxy jacket was part of smart suit.  It is in Excellent condition, and would look fantastic teamed with a dark coloured skirt or pants.
