This is a fabulously understated dress where the beauty is in its simplicity! The dress has no makers tags or labels but is clearly professionally made.

The fabric is like a medium to heavy weight grosgrain in an olive/stone colour. The dress is unlined.

The sleeveless dress has a V-shaped neckline at front and back. It fastens with a 7½" metal zipper at the left side seam at the waist.

The bodice is decorated front and back with a swirling floral design made up of large amethyst beads (½"), with lilac and black/grey beads and bugle beads.

The skirt is plain at the front, and has a 9" wide pleat at centre back, which gives fullness to the skirt. This loose pleat is then decorated with the swirling floral design in amethyst, lilac and black/grey beads and bugle beads - it gives the overall appearance of a beaded train.

The dress is in Excellent condition, though the skirt has a couple of minor stains which should come out with spot cleaning. They do not detract from the dress, which is more than wearable!

This is one of those classically understated dresses ideal for any chic formal occasion.
