 1960s/70s demure Alexander Clare floral maxi dress, Bust 36"

This lovely 1970s dress carries the label "Alexander Clare, Made in England". The fully lined dress is in a light-weight muslin-like fabric in a dark grey (almost black) which is printed with a light grey faux-lace pattern and small polka dots. The bodice and skirt hem is highlighted with the printed faux-lace design and a pink panel with a floral design.

The bodice of the dress is a wrap-over effect secured to a 4" deep high waist band. The skirt is gathered onto the waist band and becomes fuller, ending with a 17" long slit at centre back hem.

The dress fastens at centre back with a 21" metal zipper. The full cap sleeves are 14" wide at the hem edge.

The dress is in Excellent condition with no faults or flaws - a demure yet classy dress so typical of its period.
