This is a gorgeous evening or wedding coat with the label "Alfred Angelo Original, designed by Edythe Vincent".

• Shoulder to hem = 41"
• Sleeve (armpit to edge) = 9"

The coat has a vintage size tag for size 14 (but see measurements above) and also has a blue AFL-CIO tag with the number 028694.

The coat is in a luscious cream silk faille fabric and is fully lined. The coat is very full, and is gathered to a back yoke to give even more fullness - typical of that period. It fastens at centre front with just one large popper which is covered with a large non-functional button.

The wide collar and the 3¾" deep sleeve cuffs are covered with a cream lace highlighted with tiny seed pearls, sequins and diamante stones.

Overall the coat is in very good and sound condition - BUT it does have its issues!

The lace on both cuffs and on the collar is torn and ripped and will need replacing. The biggest flaw is that at some point the back edge of the collar appears to have been cut off - leaving the collar open across the back. The collar will need recovering with lace and re-stitching / securing.

The coat is in need of some TLC - but is still a more than viable and wearable item.
