The dress bears the prestigious label "Mollie Parnis Boutique, New York", with a tag for Size 10 and a blue ILGWU label.  The dress is in a sheer chiffon-type fabric and is lined in the body and skirt.

At centre back there is a 23" zipper - where this extends into the skirt area there is a 6" opening in the pleated skirt which closes with 3 small metal poppers.  There is a smart roll-over collar.  The sheer sleeves have 2" deep cuffs which fastens with 2 poppers.  The chiffon skirt is crystal-pleated over a lining which has a hem circumference of 54" - the skirt has considerable movement to it.  There is nothing to suggest the use of a belt, but slightly left of centre front waist there is a small metal popper perhaps to which some form of corsage or decoration would have been attached.

Overall, the dress is in Excellent condition - however there is a 1½" area on the left sleeve which needs to be re-stitched to the cuff.  Othere than this, I can find no faults or flaws.

This is an ultra smart dress with a highly collectable label known for dressing a succession of First Ladies!  The style of this cocktail dress is reminiscent of those worn by Elizabeth Taylor and Natalie Wood!
