The pants carry the label "Polly Peck by Sybil Zelker, Made in England" with a fabric label for "Trevira fibre - with 33% Rayon" and has the look and feel of gaberdine.  The pants have a 1½" waistband and fasten at centre front with a 7" metal zipper and a button.  The pants are fitted to the knee and then gently flare out to give a flared/bell-bottom effect.  There is a 1¼" hem at the legs.

The Polly Peck label started in 1940 by Sybil Zelker and her husband.  It was later taken over by the infamous Asil Nadir with this and other companies subject to investigation by the Serious Fraud Squad before Nadir fled the UK for Turkey.  Sybil Zelker still works as a designer for other fashion labels.

The label forms an important part in UK social history as well as playing its part in the British Boutique Movement and is quite collectable for this reason.  The trousers/pants are in Excellent condition with no flaws or faults.
