Swan & Edgar ladies shoes c.1910-1920

A fabulous pair of late Edwardian ladies shoes from the prestigious London department store of Swan & Edgar.

  • The shoes date circa 1910 - 1920 when boots were going out of fashion because of the rising hemlines in ladies clothing.
  • The shoes are black leather with a 2" Louis heel. The vamp is decorated with a small leather rosette decorated with a circle of steel-cut beads.
  • The leather insole bears a gold stamped logo for Swan & Edgar Ltd., Regent Street & Piccadilly. The shoes are in Very Good to Excellent condition, with slight scuffs to the toes, creasing and light wear on the leather soles.
  • Measured on the inside : the shoes are
    •  3" wide and 9¼" long -
    • and are stamped for UK size 3.5 or 4 
  • BUT - these shoes are not really for wearing - they are a true Collectors item to be treasured for their rarity.

    Perfect item for the shoe historian or collector.
